275/366: light to*note* I tried posting this entry last night, but lj was being spastic. The cable tech showed up, even if he was here almost 45 minutes past the two hour time bracket. At least he showed up, was professional with the installation and got everything up and running in a short time.
The rest of the day was spent going here and there. After the cable installation, we had to take Banjo (yes, that's his name, officially) up to the animal shelter to be looked at for his cold. We were given some antibiotics, which we have to administer twice a day for the next 14 days. Oh, yes, its going to be a fun time, folks. As some of you may know, there is
nothing more amusing to go through than giving meds to a cat...
Cat antibiotics in hand, we headed back home. Barely five minutes went by before we were on our way to Ikea for some shelving and storage units. Spent more than we thought again and vowed not to do that next time. Yeah, how much are you willing to bet that cookie jar is going to be smashed to bits?
Finally, we did some food and necessity shopping for the house this evening. Watched the last 45 minutes of the vice-presidential debate while attempting to assemble a metal file cabinet. I really need to set some limits about how much I can actually accomplish in a busy day because I was really tired and it was pretty late when I started this project. Ran into a snafu early on and that set off the grumpy-tired meter easily. Not nearly as bad as the grumpy-tired-hungry meter, but its a side of me that's not too nice to witness at times. E tried to help me with something, but I was too far gone.I convinced myself to give it up, took a shower and right after this, I'll be in bed, getting ready for another full day tomor...er, later today.
